Kivu Dairy
Rwanda Ventures partnered with the CODERU dairy cooperative, in Gisenyi, to create a unique social venture: Kivu Dairy. Envisioned as a network of private milk collection centers, Kivu Dairy will provide a reliable wholesale market and premium prices to farmers across Rwanda. These collection centers will serve as support hubs -- providing low-cost feeds, medicines and supplements, breeding services, remote training, on-site seminars, and veterinary care. Developed as sustainable businesses, Kivu Dairy will improve the health and productivity of cows, increase the incomes of stakeholder farmers, and boost the quality, hygiene and availability of raw milk.
Our first collection center, made possible through a generous grant from the Segal Family Foundation, is under construction in Gisenyi. Rwanda Ventures is exploring partnership opportunities with other cooperatives, and is looking to acquire or build additional collection centers.

Kivu Feeds
Rwanda Ventures has a flourishing business producing and distributing low-cost, high-yield livestock feeds. Produced primarily with locally sourced materials, Kivu Feeds offer a variety of fortified feeds for cows, chickens and pigs. Our customers include high-profile farmers around Kigali, all of whom witnessed dramatic growth and productivity for their livestock using our feeds.
Kivu Feeds will have national distribution through the Kivu Dairy collection centers. Our goal is to increase the productivity and incomes of small farmers without disproportionally raising their overhead.

RV Consulting
Rwanda Ventures offers professional services in farm modernization and agribusiness development. We have planned, launched and managed greenhouses, irrigation projects, poultry operations and dairy facilities throughout Rwanda. We develop projects leveraging appropriate technologies for Africa, tailor solutions to our client's budgets and resources, and stage projects to scale based on productivity and profitability.
RV consulting is also responsive to government tenders, and has management consulting arrangements with several government ministries.
